cantonese jem in a hawker centre

stall name: yuet loy
blk 335 smith street #02-151 chinatown complex
(red sector) S(050335)
closed on thursday
a friend of ours, alice, brought us to try out this place yesterday.
she has actually patronised this stall for about 18 years already.
we find this stall a jem too.

fried egg with prawns

chicken cooked in white wine.
the black pieces of meat are liver lup-cheong with XO which alice brought from hong kong. and she brought them over specially for the cook to add them in.
the combination was simply heavenly.

tofu with bean sprouts

fish head (chopped into smaller pieces)

beef with kailan

had a cup of teh-o.
love the design of this cup. very retro.

generous alice brought this korean rice wine for us to try. it was good.

they will serve raw veggie before the meal. if you do not like to eat raw veggie do let them know or else you will be charged for it.

it is a small size restaurant. besides table seats, they have counter seats and you can see the chef bbq the yakitori
garlic rice

the golden brown fried garlic is not bitter at all.

chicken wings and asparagus wrapped with bacon

some of the dishes can be quite salty. overall, it is the best yakitori i ever tasted so far.

as the shop does not allow photography within its premises, i was not able to take more pictures of what i ate.
